Ashlyn Castillo

Ashlyn Castillo joined Willis Johnson Wealth as a Tax Operations Specialist in Summer 2026 after interning with the firm during the spring. In her role, she assists with the firm’s tax return process by coordinating documentation, facilitating client communication, and supporting the tax team throughout the filing process. She also works with clients to address questions related to tax documents and the firm’s tax platform.

Ashlyn believes that clear communication and attention to detail are essential to creating an organized and efficient tax process. She enjoys learning the details behind each process and takes a thoughtful approach to her work, striving to understand both how tasks are completed and why they are important.

As a Tax Operations Specialist, Ashlyn prepares fee quotes, sends proposals, calculates tax metrics, and coordinates e-filings. She also supports the tax team with a variety of operational processes that help keep the department running efficiently.

Ashlyn earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Houston and is currently studying for the Series 65 examination.

Outside of the office, Ashlyn enjoys horseback riding, traveling, shopping, playing card and board games, and spending time with her family. She also enjoys attending Houston Texans games, working out, and spending time at church. One of her proudest accomplishments is becoming a first-generation college graduate and returning to WJW as a full-time team member after completing her internship.
