Chris Conger joins Willis Johnson Wealth as Managing Director of Operations, bringing two decades of experience building and scaling the internal engines that allow great organizations to grow without losing what made them great. Before WJW, he served as President of a Houston-based engineering firm where he helped grow revenue nearly threefold over five years—not by doing everything himself, but by building the right people, processes, and systems and then getting out of the way. That pattern: diagnose, build, develop, step back, defines how he leads.

What draws Chris to operations is the same thing that draws him to problems generally: he genuinely wants to understand how things work, where they break, and how to make them more durable. He is the kind of leader who will sit in the details when the details matter and zoom out to the strategic picture when they don't. Chris is a Texas A&M engineer by training and a Cypress, Texas native at heart. Outside of work he's a devoted husband and father who can be found on the shooting range, hiking in the mountains, or deep in a research rabbit hole—sometimes all three in the same week.
