Yerassyl Sundetbayev, CFP®

Yerassyl (Rassyl) Sundetbayev joined Willis Johnson Wealth in January 2025 as an Associate Wealth Manager. With over five years of financial planning experience, Rassyl specializes in guiding individuals toward retirement with confidence and success. His approach emphasizes keeping his clients well-educated on various financial options and tailoring those strategies to each client’s unique goals. 

Before joining WJW, Rassyl honed his expertise at EY in New York, working closely with employees of Fortune 500 companies to optimize their personal finances and navigate complex benefits packages. His ability to connect with a diverse clientele and align their finances with long-term objectives has been a cornerstone of his success. 

Rassyl earned his degree in Finance from the University of Maryland and achieved the prestigious Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation in 2023. He views financial planning as a transformative process that empowers individuals to live life on their own terms with security and peace of mind. 

A U.S. Army veteran, Rassyl’s service allowed him to travel extensively, visiting 28 countries and cultivating a global perspective. Today, he resides in Houston with his wife and two young daughters. Outside the office, he enjoys playing soccer and looks forward to resuming his international travels as his children grow.
