Jeff Riley, CLU®, CFP®

Jeff Riley joined Willis Johnson & Associates in 2025 as a Senior Wealth Manager. With more than two decades of experience in comprehensive financial planning, Jeff provides clients with personalized strategies designed to simplify complexity, bring peace of mind, and help turn long-term goals into reality. 

Jeff believes that financial confidence begins with understanding how your resources can support multiple life goals when organized effectively. He helps clients reduce the burden of managing wealth by delivering actionable recommendations with clear execution, allowing them to focus on what matters most. 

Since entering the financial services industry in 2001, Jeff has developed deep knowledge across retirement planning, insurance, investment management, and tax strategy. He began his career as a personal banker before joining a large insurance firm, where he spent over a decade honing his planning skills and building a strong foundation in risk management. In 2015, he transitioned to a fee-only advisory firm working exclusively with high-net-worth individuals and families. 

Jeff earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business. He received the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation in 2011 and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2012. 

For Jeff, success is defined by the confidence clients express in their plans and the trust they place in the relationship they have with him. He takes pride in helping individuals and families feel organized, assured, and aligned with their financial priorities. 

An active participant in the financial planning and nonprofit communities, Jeff serves on the board and committees of the Houston Estate and Financial Forum (HEFF), where he collaborates with fellow professionals to improve client outcomes. He also supports the Periwinkle Foundation as a camp counselor and advisory board member, helping provide life-changing programs for children and families facing critical illnesses. 

Outside of the office, Jeff enjoys studying foreign languages and writing music. He is a member of the Houston Songwriters Association and is currently expanding his knowledge of the German, Spanish, and Irish (Gaelic) languages. Jeff and his wife, Jill, enjoy cooking together, traveling abroad, and exploring everything Houston has to offer.
